The GP meeting I believe was spoilt totally by the organisers with the high entry fees, Nat A licence only limited and very little time on track for your money. Compare that to the Festival at Whilton Mill, with it's friendly family orientated appeal,decent track time and Nat B licence/novice invites, this attracted a decent sized grid, due to VFM racing.
S1 appears to have done the same with the increased costs this year.
The karts and their owners are out there still, they just need to be tempted back, perhaps decent promotion would help ?
