... I should have reworded that slightly all steel has the same Young's modulus, the grade has nothing to do with it. It will just fail quicker if it's low grade.

Basically cross-sectional area (wall thickness) is the only factor.

So, Traxtar is correct soft, medium and hard axles don't actully make any difference, if the soft, medium and hard relate to the material.
