hi jamie
i run a 2000 wright chassis at w/l with the standard swrd brake system,i have found that you have to run return springs on the small bolts which retain the pads in the caliper,if you don,t have these fitted or they are fitted and are tired the shoes will remain permanently in touch with the disc thus resulting in further unwanted friction,the problem can be compounded if new disc and pads have been fitted.the other posts in this thread should over come any other issues you may have.
