Surely the best system would be to submit your engine prior to racing to have it checked then sealed. the seal gets checked at the meeting / problem solved..
Like a lot of people who have invested hard earned cash i would be really hacked off if they were checked when I wasnt there to witness the strip down and check.Having been involved in engineering most of my life there are huge differences in peoples skill levels using measuring equipmentit is important that the checks that are made are consistant with the same measuring tools and using the same methods.
The biggest improvement in performance with these small relativly low powered engines is weight.i hear tales of inaccuracies in the scales at WL of up to 5/10 kgs. This is an area more important in my opinion (I would say that being a fat lad)they need to look at these and ensure competitors are checked regulrly and at random to prevent cheating by going out at the incorrect weight. Having said that I think the friendship and openess in Prokarts should be commended and the more random checks made in all critical areas will help to maintain the status quo.keep up the good work WL
