Firstly, I have to admit that I haven't been able to read the newsletter yet but have got the jist by speaking to my dad and others.

My main feelings remain that a split is not necessary (at least not yet) but that if that's what the masses want then I suppose it has to happen. I completely disagree with the argument that clubmen shouldn't have to 'race' against elite and vice versa as the two spoil each other's races. Think back to the latter part of last season's F1. All of a sudden Force India were mixing it at the sharp end and having a significant effect on the championship outcome. They weren't welcome but the FIA didn't suddenly put them in a different race with the Torro Rosso's etc just because they were stopping the big teams taking the points they 'deserved'. If a clubman is so fast that you have to pass some elite karts to get close to him then unfortunately the challenge should be to do that.
This series caters for such a wide spectrum of ability/resource etc that satisfying everybody may prove impossible. What I would say is that WL give it a bloody good go. I bet they wonder why they bother when they read some of the comments from the last few days.

On the yellow flag issue, I think there should be draconian penalties ie black flags/place penalties issued for people offending. That would stamp it out in a flash. I would be the first to admit that many times I have raised my hand at a yellow flag but continued at full speed, with the only reason being that you can get away with it, and it is actually seen as the easiest way of all to make up time. A couple of years ago Paul Bowler used a speed radar to see if people were slowing down. Guess what.... they were, like much more than normal.

In summary I think that for most, if not all of these issues, the buck stops with us as drivers. I fear that we are trying to fix something that definitely is not broken, and we should just get on with it!

Sore fingers now.
