Fair point, however, is a scrutineer more or less likely to want to see behind a shield that is welded? The regs are there for a reason remember and it wouldn't be the first time that a driver has been dsq for something so minor. In fact I remember a DSQ for having numbers of the wrong size once.

And I have no idea who Popie and I would suggest that this portrays an inverse connotation to my simile.
