Yes, that kind of made nonsense out of having sealed engines in the first place unless they are all sealed by the same engine builder.
Well, that takes us full circle really and I can understand the logic behind Tal-Ko's reasoning of only allowing themselves to rebuild the 4 stroke engine. Never-the-less, I feel they are giving their engine limited appeal to the non-MSA karter who does not require a sealed engine.
The TKM K4S is a great engine, no doubt about that, but could Tal-Ko actually be limiting it's appeal to the leisure [as in non-MSA] market? This engine deserves to be at least as popular as the Rotax Max, which, in my opinion is so popular because of the back-up service & parts availability.
