I'm all for the cumalation of small gains, but either there is a visable difference, on a Dyno, or there isn't.
But either way it's not an individual engine issue. Just as you would be mad to Dyno each and every tappet setting for each engine. You'd do more harm than good.
To be honest though this is one thing that I've never specifically Dyno'd because our Regs specify the standard gap. But I've got an engine to run this afternoon, so you've peeked my curiosity enough to have a look.
Strangely enough the one thing that is always being tested in scrutineering here is the resistor in the plug cap, makes me giggle because there is absolutely no gain (that I've found) by changing it.
