I totally understand your predicament Brian. I was equally confused last year when looking to join the class. I'd just tested an Aixro and was interested in finding somewhere I could race it locally but after a few discussions with Roger at F6 it became clear that it was never going to happen in F6 Open. As I understand it, the 30bhp limit is a limit imposed by the MSA based roughly on the Biland and it is basically saying that karts of "similar" power to the Biland can race with F6 Open on short circuits. Clearly, with 48bhp, the Aixro is not "similar" to 30bhp. The Swissauto etc are considered "similar"! I suppose if you tuned a Swissauto then it would no longer be "similar" and maybe that solves the issues raised above but the rules are open to abuse if somebody chose to do so.
