If its just for messing around sure you make it work, lots of people do this.

But for racing, just go out and buy a race ready GX160 , it will work out far far better then a old engine ..

Just look / ask in the paddock at any race meeting who preps the best engines, Its only one Super Company, most will say and your see over 90% of the Hondas with its name all over them.

A few are for sale 2nd hand, but I would only buy new with Dyno sheets, advice, etc.
