I agree with richydehav about that bitabout elevating the class to Rotax S1 - thought it was bit cheeky and will tell him so when I see him . I am also suprised he said it as i know he enjoys the TKM racing .
I would also take issue with people who continue to believe it is the marshals primary job to report bad driving - I have done a lot of marshalling in the 8 years we have been involved in the sport and I can tell you that was not my primary role - it is the safety of the competitors and informing them of problems on the circuit between my post and the next - yes the EXIT! After a while and with much experience marshals can look both ways for incidents coming into a corner and out and for blue flags -but this takes some time to develope . iIf a marshal is asked by a clerk if they saw anything they have to be honest and say if they didn't - they may have been concentrating on another incident a few yards away that might have compromised the safety of many rather than a tap of one kart on another that didn't cause any problems for the majority. It is not the marshals job to police the circuit - again the more experienced marshal who can multi-task( mostly women - light blue touch paper and satnd well back :P) due to that experience can and do flag up any bad driving to the clerk but it is then up to the clerk to wath and see what is going on and take the appropriate action . It is not fair for competitors to continually say - " the flipping marshal said they didn't see anything "- they probably didn't !
