Logic would suggest not alot. But having struggled to find about 0.4hp missing from an engine all weekend.............
Easy in hindsight but the engine in question ran well, sounded good and had a good flat power curve, it was just way down on power evrywhere. Thought I'd swapped everything except the crank and the block with no change. Even ran the hone through it put a new rod and piston in.
On the point of dispair after about 30 runs with tear downs in between, the engine finally started getting hard to start. I've never had a problem with a plug before and as the're carefully indexed I only gap and clean them. Not anymore.
New plug and the engines immediately where it should be. Lesson learned.
