But, the actual figures are meaningless, it's like the original measurements of feet and inches as in literally a persons foot and thumb. Fine if the same person is using it in one place, but never repeatable elsewhere.

Dyno readings whether it be peak, mean or area under the curve can only be meaningfully compared if the engines are tested back to back. Even the standard atmospheric and temperature adjustments, supplied with most dyno software don't work with the Honda, because it reacts differently to changes, even a different operator can make a difference.

Whether you want good top-end, mid-range or total area is track dependent. So what's really needed is a piece of software that can plot your rev trace on track with the power curve for each of your engines, to choose the best. Even just having a dyno graph print out for each of your engines can be a very useful tool for choosing gearing when compared with your track data.
