the idea of buy back is to discourage the use of sp engines. it would be interesting to know exactly how many engines have actually been brought back at bayford?
personally i think buy back is a brilliant idea, i know that if i was racing in that class that i would use a good clubman engine rather than one of our sp motors, but to be honest, i would still be reluctant to sell if ait was forced upon me!
because you only get strong engines if you look after and maintain them properly.
i think blueprinting is the way to go.
ive got a blue printed motor that we use for practice that puts out over 7.5 on richards dyno,thats up there with the very strong sp motors that ive paid 2K+ for.
buying the engine new and getting it blue printed would cost around Ł600, thats Ł200 min cheaper than a new basic sp. i would have no problem putting that engine into a buy back system.
