i think the warden law tyre issue had been discussed at the end of last year on here. (cant be a!"*d to look up the exact date) but the general thoughts of the majority seemed to be that bridgestones were the way forward due to the consistency issues found by many with the dunlops. it was also discussed that the extra cost of bridgestones were outweighed by them lasting a lot longer. i have personally had to bin a set of new dunlops due to them being over a second a lap of the pace. yet i have never had any issues with bridgestones which have kept consistent times throughout a full season. for a driver to race at different tracks in the north they have to have two sets of tyres of each type (slicks inters wets) which means expense. in my opinion in these times of people wanting a cheap karting class the way forward is bridgestones at all tracks and if cost are paramount make it slicks only. as mentioned above this was discussed last year so whoever makes the rules at warden law were not aware or chose to ignore the discussion. with the increase in price and the possibilty of having to buy a new helmet suddenly i find myself looking at other teeside oppurtunities..... presumably im not on my own.
