You're right, I'm not - that's the point I'm trying to make. A race start that has a corner straight into a funnel, by responses to this thread enables aggressive or overly enthusiastic driving styles to benefit (nice guys finish last?). Everyone making an aggressive start is just going to compound the problem.

Obviously those who benefit from this don't want it to change, but going back to 'Airbourne Andy' and his discussion with the CoC on Sunday, something needs to change.

At the drivers brief, Dave (CoC) always emphasises its a fun race series and clean driving is expected by all. Dave is also on the pits bend watching the starts but it would be hard to tell if a kart going wide was pushed off as there are no gaps between any of the karts. When I watched the cadets and their rolling starts, the front of the pack had spread before the intial turn in - no idea how they manage to achieve what the adults are struggling to do.

Interestingly, I'm informed that the starts at Teesside are tame compared to Warden Law and PFI.
