Greg. Were the clutches supplied in sealed original Magnum boxes? There have been some cheap copies appearing that may well also use counterfeit packaging and are, as you may guess made if poor grade materiel and wear very rapidly.
My advice is question your supplier to see if they have had similar issues reported or have they changed their supplier recently?
