You'd be as well to check what tyres the circuit runs as well. Typically prokarts run on Dunlop SL1 or Bridgestone YDS.

With regard to driving books/instruction there is loads of stuff on the internet, however, prokart driving technique is different than say Rotax in view of the limited power and harder tyres. Principals will be similar but specifics will differ considerably.
