If you are correct that they are leaving you on exit and it's NOT you cornering technique, then you have addressable, but serious, problems. You are 5% lower geared than the others (if you are correct.... and you really CANNOT trust what people tell you they are running...). You should have been out dragging them from the corners. The extra weight WILL make as huge difference but, being lower geared, they should NOT be leaving you on exit.

However, I still suspect it's driving technique.

There are two other options..... you COULD ask a friendly competitor is you can have a go driving THEIR kart..... Certainly, many will refuse BUT.... the nice ones (who will NOT be the fastest ones) MIGHT let you. You'll then know what a set-up kart feels like and if it's significantly different from yours.

The second options is to ask a friendly but FAST competitor if they will TRY your kart! If it's the kart, they'll be able to tell you... if it's your technique, they'll be able to make it go quicker than you!

The last decent option is to VIDEO yourselves at crucial corners. Then, get together and replay the video and STUDY what you each do. Ideally, video the SERIOUSLY quick guys as well. Try to do it methodically; ensure you have the SAME angle/pan/height for yourselves AND the quick guys. Take it from multiple angles/positions. Make sure you have ALL 'subjects' in a the corner in isolation AND in 'combat'. The comparison, especially in company with each other, will be enlightening.

Also, take a wide angle view and record how the others are beating you. Ideally, record yourselves with other karts and watch how the 'gap' changes. That should tell you a lot.
