Unfortunately wd40 and washing up liquid are illegal and picked up on tyre sniffers. Tyre soap is fine and does help

The YDS is not the easiest to seal but even new it can be achieved as stated before with removal of the valve. Before that,however, make sure the bead is clean. Rub with wire wool to remove any old residue. A band or belt also helps.
