Perhaps because you mistook what might have been humour for an insult.

We all know that different karts and classes are set up in different ways, so asking a TKM question in a non-2 stroke forum might have got useful response at all.

I understood the "round ones" remark to have been simply a deflection, the sort of thing a friend might say, rather than sarcastic criticism.

Demongibbo's response was immature, angry and unnecessary if one appreciates that there is no indication of age, experience or background in a text message and the least one can do is to consider remarks to start off being friendly rather than deliberately offensive.
