Zeus, you need to be more analytical about this.
Who did the motor? Are they a reputable Honda engine builder?
Who set the carb?
Have you let someone else drive your kart for their opinion? If you are leaving a corner too slowly, your motor won't have a chance. What are your gear ratios compared to your mates? Are you using a rev counter to see if you are hitting peak revs where you need them?
How is your chassis set up?
How do you KNOW it's not your driving. Which books have your read on technique? Have you considered driver training?
To start with, bum-in-seat-time will improve your performance HUGELY more than tuning!
