My 8 year old has just passed his ARKS and wants to go racing in the New Year :)

Naturally, I'm a little concerned that being young, inexperienced and off the pace of the fast kids, he could end up getting bullied and have a bad experience, even though he'll be starting from the back of the grid.

Would anyone recommend the Clubman races as a starting point? I believe the engines are standard 'out of the box' and, therefore, would assume the grid wont be quite so full of kids on a mission?
