It's best not to worry about him being bullied. Karting is sink or swim on the track and if he really wants to do it he will. It takes time but he will learn more from racing than simply trying to set lap times. The honda grid at clay is strong and the competition is equally strong but there are battles right through the field. Remember as a novice he starts off the back anyway so he should be out of the way and you can keep it that way until he's ready to upgrade his licence :)
