Rewrite.More problems with nomenclature here. When Itpro was a lad cars had 'steering boxes' bolted to the chassis frame. The box converted rotation of the steering wheel to fore and aft motion of the bottom end of the 'drop arm' or Pitman arm. This motion was transmitted forward to the 'steering arm'on one stub axle by the 'drag link'. The steering arm on the other stub axle was connected to the first by a one piece 'track rod' with suitable 'Ackermann' incorporated. Karts don't have drag links. The only 'links' ,chain excluded, are the two track rods.
We still don't seem to have got very far with ' Bulldog's' question as to the effect on 'handling' of more or less Ackermann however produced.
