The deck height measurement has not changed in the new regulations. If you accept that an "SP" engine will have been selected as being pretty close to the limit, then all that will happen next year is that anyone disadvantaged by having a longer block can now have it machine to bring it towards the minimum deck height. My intent is to leave the front of the field where it is but give the rest an opportunity to catch up at minimal cost. The new tools will provide an opportunity for club scrutineers to be more accurate with their inspections and complete them quicker.
