You can't have too much grip. If low grip was an advantage, you would be faster in the wet !. If you have read the article referred to above you will realise the importance of unloading/ releasing the inside rear wheel at turn in and through the corner. The idea of ' too much grip' arises when you fail to do this and the two back wheels are trying unsuccessfully to rotate at different speeds because they are moving around different radii and we have no differential. By transferring the weight to the outside wheel the lateral grip of the outside wheel increases to compensate for zero grip from the unloaded inside wheel.
