Plus a tkm engine operates at approx 16k revs

For the record, I don't think separating the tag from dd is the answer because I think tkm still has the best engine parity of almost any class. My point was just that the tag was a dead duck until they compensated it for the clutch.

I think the old paddock wisdom is at play, the top drivers have switched to tag, so it must be better, mentality. Someone will start winning again on dd in junior, just like they still do in senior, then people will look for other reasons "why"
