Hi we have a project one cadet 2011 and have always had a long brake pedal travel on it, On good advise We took out the master cylinder filler plug and topped it up (needed quite a bit) and this has helped -so now I want to bleed the system with fresh fluid ,it's a kc system with the manual adjustment and seems to have 2 small cap head bolts either side of the calliper which I take to be the bleed bolts but one is in a awkward position so do you take calliper off and put it on the other way (as in upside down) and what is the correct procedure to bleed this system (been looking at brake bleeding tools ) and what fluid should it need- I have brand new bottle of mobile dot 4 is this ok .
Also I was advised it should have a adjuster on the pedal screwed in like the throttle side so I can adjust the pedal so it pulls the master cylinder arm in a bit if that makes sense ( so the arm is pulled in further not at its full resting stop.
Also master cylinder makes a clicking noise when pressed in so could possibly be a problem there could it be worth putting a new one on ?
Thanks Tony
