My son's been having problems with the starts on his Honda Cadet. Whatever he seems to try, he always gets a bad start.

He usually gives it a little accelerator whilst holding the brake and then lifts the brake and floors the throttle as the lights go out.

From looking at others, this is what they seem to do, so any clues on why this might be and tips?
