To reiterate the point, a WF in the dry on the same day on new tyres with correct set up would be the stated 1-1.5 secs per lap quicker than a prokart, absolutely zero doubt. However, I don't see the point in comparing the two anyway, because they are different classes, with different engine and chassis characteristics.

At the end of the day we go racing at WL (or used to!!) because its cheap and its fun. WF surely offers one of the cheapest ways of all onto the grid, but if its more about the fun and the close racing, it has to be the prokart.

I can see this year being a bit of a renaissance for the prokart and hopefully it is, because 30 people in one class is surely better than two classes of 15.
