Prokarts have had a single cut sprocket for a long time with no detrimental effects . I know you have considerably more BHP but a single cut between 2 teeth and thru a mounting hole is the ideal way , you can even use a larger washer on the retaining bolt on the sprocket side for extra support if you wish .
