Has your son noticed any problems with the throttle response?

On both of our engines the throttle springs do more up and down a little, but they don’t look like they would be in danger of popping out. The throttle arm plate is right above it and should prevent the spring coming fully out of the hole.

When you say it “catches on the top part of the black connector” does the spring return to its original position when you let go of the throttle?
