I built a single clone 390 with electric start and it was about the same performance as a twin gx160 so two 390 should be quicker in a straight line.
Downside are the weight and the pull starting.
It is a wide engine so would be suprised if two fit on easy, without a strange seat config.

The 390 can be tuned to around 20 hp per engine, commonly called the Thunderkart. They had a few issues with cranks when tuning.

Simple engines, cheap as clones, easy to tune.
AGK in the states do some cheap parts.

If its for fun and you have arms like a powerlifter then go for it!
