IMO The Mychron is better in every way, I would even go so far to say that it gives you enough extra info that when used well it enables you to go faster than if you run an Alfano.

Only thing against the Mychron is perhaps the Alfano is more reliable. However most of the problems with the Mychron seems to be with cold and humidity.

I had two play up the first time I left them on the karts over the winter. After some use they started working properly again and since then I take them off the karts and store them in the house.

By a rough calculation I reckon my Mychrons have done 50,000 kilometres each on one kart or another and are still going strong.

Other than the hidiously complicated and illogical operating system (if you can't program a VCR with your eyes closed, forget it) the worst thing about the Alfano is the ease of which it is possible to erase all your data by accident.
