its just an attempt at making the engine responsive asap when you press the throttle pedal.

Ideally you want the driver in the seat and the kart about to move when setting the tickovers.

Safety wise we always need the kart to default to below the clutch engagemement speed, and come to a halt, if we lose control of the kart.
