Matt, a mate of mine wasn't doing that well with his engines, so he sent them to jeff johnson of "prokart engineering", he put them on his dyno and found them to be in the mid 4's ! but jeff sorted them out,now they are strong legal engines!! but as far as "getting excuses in early" you shouldn't need too , the F6 championship (heavy) was won by a chap called Phillip Lowe driving a LRG
