2002...

"The future of the kartsport was also an issue that was interesting H. R. H. the Crown prince a lot, and C. C. Hansen and undersigned, could explain, that a bülletin from CIK/FIA described the upgrading use of four-stroke engines, during the next four to five years, and a total ban of all two-stroke engines. So far, the Biland SA250 is the only engine available which fullfills the requirement of the CIK-FIA and is allowed to participate in Formula Super A in 2005."

Well that went well didn't it.

Although it has to be said that 4 strokes are very big on the continent, with the oral and the swiss auto still going strong! So maybe it is just the bloody MSA!
