New Year, new approach to what I do or want to do, based on what I have done before...

Prokart scrutineering:
I posted below with my thoughts on levelling the playing field and encouraging people to take up or continue in prokarting. (one supporter, no other comment! Surely you all have an opinion???)

In the North East of England prokarting doesn't seem to know what it wants...

The MSA scrutineers attend and employ MSA regs to Non MSA racing- it's ludicrous!

The current prokarters must be somewhat confused why MSA scruts apply MSA regs to Non MSA racing.

(maybe it is the need for MSA scruts to monitor the two stroke fraternity that attend the same meeting? If that is the case then it is up to the organisers to decide how scrutineering is employed and how the MSA/Non MSA balance is managed)

If the organisers want MSA Racing and everything that goes with it then why not just run MSA Racing???
Of course that would mean losing all the Prokarters that do not have or want an MSA license.

If the organisers want Non MSA racing for Prokarters then just run Non MSA and do not have the restrictions of MSA scrutineering where apparently the hands are tied by what the scrut can and cannot do.

It makes for a very restrictive scrutineering bay and doesn't allow for new blood to easily enter the scrut' profession or work alongside MSA scrut's.

I have been in engineering since 1966 and count myself as a skilled tradesman and yet I was not allowed to attend the same scrut' bay as MSA scruts at Warden Law, albeit under the old management.

The present scrutineering is a joke in the North East and it is only when Kelvin attends that any credibility is given to a meeting's scrutineering.

This joke situation is never going to change unless someone wants change.

Wake up organisers and employ top class scrutineers before the Prokart grid disappears.

It is in the interest of the organisers to have a cutting edge meeting and this includes scrutineering.

Kelvin cannot be everywhere at once and he needs some new blood to help scrut North East meetings ( in my opinion)

So.. Prokarters, make your mind up what you want and make it known!
MSA or Non MSA Scrutineering-you decide!
