I guess we are comparing the Gx to the WF when you mention warped heads etc. ( I can let you know a simple fix for the WF head issue if you email me )

# the Gx head doesn't warp normally.
# the gx head bolts stretch and snap if over torqued so use new each time you reassemble

# the bottom end fails if: oil is too low/too thin/too high revs/overheating
saying that the bottom end is as reliable as any white metal big end can be.
