laser temp sensors work great if you are quick enough to catch your driver as they come in.

Otherwise the temps are cooling rapidly and not much use.

It could be used to gauge what others are using re: pressures but again speedy reading as they come in is essential.

It can help with the issues of differing pressures to achieve the same temp on the same axle.

Accuracy isn't so important when you are just checking the relative/comparative difference/similarities, with the same device.

When you get to 'parc ferme topgun' status you can check many tyres in a short space of time and not be obvious!
