new member so be gentle. if the question appears stupid i apologise in advance.

How do you test a gx160 without a dyno.

Tried free revving and digital tacho with disasterous results. Blown conrod.
If i could fit a removable constant load to the shaft.
could i reduce rpm and in effect replicate the moving kart load to limit rpm.
Record this the rpm, have a tinker.
re-run the test, and if rpm is increased have i improved the engine?

Any advice appreciated
Cheers
