if the kart was running ok then assume jet sizes are ok.

I have had coils where the actual joint between coil and ht lead was poor and I ended up changing all the ht lead to cure the problem (clone coils and carbs are really poor in this area of rubber/resin makeup).

I think you need to do compression check to see if rings are ok.
