Thanks Brian, much appreciated. Compression is ok, it's just odd that all I've changed is the valve springs and its all of a sudden backfiring! Coincidence maybe. I've set the valves clearances to .1mm on inlet @ .15 exhaust. Is this correct? And could a leaky rocker gasket contribute to this ? Thanks again.
