Plugs don't tend to go down on a Honda.

I would strip the carb and clean the jet and emulsion tube.

Also you have an idle jet under the tickover screw. It is a small plastic jet with an o ring on carefully take this out and clean it. If you damage the o ring you will need to replace.

if your not getting fuel through the fuel pump could need re kitting..
