Top man was Jim, and a faithful servant to F6 as well as a multi times Champion - I think he was World Formula class winner 5 years in a row up until he stopped racing in 2010. Always good for a story about the good old days of 100cc racing, or a bit of paddock gossip. And the best grid marshall you could hope for, unhurried, full of playful abuse and willing to hold a grid when someone couldnt start.

We owe him an awful lot, a real enthusiast who will be sorely missed come next March at the O plate, stood there with his clipboard and a fag on the go.
