Build up the stub as you took it to bits, check the king pin is straight, to do this put in the king pin loose & turn it, see if there is any movement at the end of the stub axle.
When all together fit some rims with out tyres & measure the distance between them at 3 o'clock & 9 o'clock with the steering wheel central. The distance on the front side should be 0.5 to 1mm longer, if not adjust.
Somebody can correct me on this as it is a long time since I did it without lasers & never on a cadet chassis
