I'm just starting out in Cadet karting with my 8 year old son and about to have our first test session at Thruxton over half term. We have a 2010 P1 with a T1 engine and have just picked up a second hand mychron.

I'm trying to find a second hand set of inters (on rims) but struggling as no one seems to be selling any! This got me thinking if anyone ever really uses wets unless its absolutely pouring down as I know I had wets when I did rotax max and never used them in 2 years as it was never wet enough.

I have a very small budget currently and just want to be investing in the right things and not wasting money if I can help it.

Any thoughts appreciated
