thanks for the offer of help its greatly appreciated and apologies for the late response I've only just seen this response.
I managed to move the pedals with success, he will need the little black pedal extenders as his leg was a little straight when pressing the brake pedal but otherwise all good.

Thanks again to yourself and everyone else for their help and advice
