If it WERE that simple.......

I still like the term 'Global Warming': it IS accurate!

However, I know it causes confusion!

One of the potential (and quite PROBABLE) results of Global Warming is that the Gulf Stream (which warms our country) will be switched OFF or 'diverted' so that it MISSES us!

And what would the effect of THAT be? Well, get your Atlas out and you may note that we are on the same latitude (?) as MOSCOW! Instead of this country getting WARMER our climate will approach MUSCOVITE levels! It's the Gulf Stream which has STOPPED us from being not MUCH warmer than ICELAND!

Just LOOK at the relative positions of Iceland and the UK! And yet we are a VASTLY warmer country. Why? We are NOT THAT much further from the Poles than they are to make the HUGE amount of difference in our climates. The REASON is that THEY do NOT get the benefits of the Gulf Stream! Nor will WE if 'we' 'switch off' the Gulf Stream!

Do you FANCY a climate similar to Iceland's?
